School In India

Our hotel in Jaipur was in the middle of a school. We asked to go through the school and later found out that we were the first westerners to ever go through there! It was the best experience the kids were so excited to see us and they kept yelling out "helllo hello" and waving. We kinda disrupted the classes alot, however assoon as the teacher spoke they were so well behaved it was amazing. In one classroom there were 74 children in a space of bout 4x2m! It was one of the best experiences of the whole trip!

Last Days in China

On the last days in China we went to the square. We had to say goodbye to our group who we had made good friends with. We ended the tour in good fashion and went for a nice drink down by the lake.

TII "This is India"

Get ready for it, another culture list... this time of India:
1. cows are everywhere, they are worshiped and thus have all rights on the streets!
2. Donkeys camels, monkeys, dogs, horses and squirrels also run pretty freely along the streets
3. Food is scrumptious... and did i mention we get to eat with our hands it great!! (feel like kids again)
4. Generally people ride tuk tuks with 8 people
5. Only men tend to work in all the shops and restaurants
6. Lots and lots of beggars
7. Takes 6hrs to drive 200 km because the roads are so busy
8. Monuments, forts and palaces are just unbelievable huge
9. People clap, cheer, whistle and talk on their mobiles when in the movies (bollywood films are very loud and over the top) its great
10. All the women wear beautiful Shari's, have heaps of piercings and wear heaps of jewelry

We will get photos up in the next few days of all the great places we have visited in India.
We have really enjoyed India (especially the food, if you hadnt already guessed from our messages)
Love you all
Kurt and Connie

India

Hey everyone, We arrived in Delhi last night after a day of travelling on planes. Was sad to leave china, it is such an amazing place and we had heaps of fun. We met alot of nice people along the way. When we arrived last night we could not find our transfer from the airport for an hour... we were begining to get really worried but in the end the guy was just late. Connie is going through her first sickness on the trip (kurt). Nah, just feeling tired. Had butter chicken for lunch...getting into the indian food already (they said it was not spicy, yet it was one of the spiciest things we have had!) Streets are busy, people are friendly, we are now looking forward to our next adventure. Meet with our group tonight for our 6 day tour, off to the Taj Mahal tomorrow (via Agra..hehe) (its in Agra).
Hope all is well, keep the messages comming as it is great to hear from everyone! Take Care, Luv Us xxx
