Wow, where do we start....
Kurt and I are sitting in an internet cafe, struggling to navigate our way around the internet as it is all in Chinese. So we really hope that this message works as it has all been guess work to get this far.
This place is very full on... Like another world. The weather is very muggy and hot, very sweaty and sticky. We have been doing lots of walking taking it all in. Heaps of people, no one speaks English. We found out yesterday that 20 million people live in Shanghai itself, just to give an idea about how busy it is.
on our way to the museum yesterday we met two lovely chinese people- Wei Wei and Zhu Zhu. They took us to the traditional chinese tea festival that is held in China every 3 years. We tasted 6 teas out of the 300 different types. We learnt lots about the traditional culture and the history. Mum, they were very impressed when I knew Quan Yin. It was really good to learn an insight into the culture and learn a bit of their language. We have been trying real hard to learn certain words, but when we try to use them they just laugh at us...so dont think we have it down packed yet.
We meet with our group for the tour tonight..should be interesting.
Hope all is well, we will put up some photos of China soon!
Love you all
